Mummy Mondays: Milton

Long before I had entered the world of Motherhood, Milton was a brand name I was very familiar with.

It seems to be a name that has always been around (Well...for the last 65 years at least!), and for me it conjures images of clean, sterile surfaces and that familiar "Milton" smell!

So when I was asked if I would like to trial some Milton products aimed at Mums, I was delighted!

I was sent a real goody bag of products, and was so excited to get stuck into them - unfortunately I obviously had to wait for the baby to arrive first so it took me a while but I have now been using them all for the last few weeks and so can give you all my thoughts on them and how invaluable they have been!
Dual Action Combi Steriliser

The Dual Action element of this steriliser refers to the fact that it can be used as either a cold water steriliser in the traditional sense, using cold water and Milton sterilising tablets - or it can be used as a Microwave steam steriliser, which is my preferred method.

The steriliser easily fits 5 bottles (any brand!), and can also be used to sterilise breast pumps, dummies, toys and feeding accessories.

I find the Combi steriliser really easy to use, and although I don't personally use the cold water method I can certainly see how its handy that you're able to use it that way as if *god forbid* anything went wrong with my microwave, at least I know I could still sterilise Tyne's bottles!
The Dual Action Combi Steriliser is priced at £24.99 and is available from and other major retailers.

Portable Soother Steriliser

Any Mum who uses dummies knows that while they can be absolutely invaluable, they can also be a real pain as babies are very prone to repeatedly dropping them on the ground - particularly when you're out and about!

The Portable Soother Steriliser is compact enough to carry around in your changing bag and is very light weight so its really no hassle at all to take with you on outings.

You use it along with the Mini Milton Sterilising Tablets (of which you get 10 free with the steriliser) and in 15 minutes time, your Dummy is sterile and ready to use!
The Milton Mini Portable Soother Steriliser is priced at £6.99 and is available from Kiddicare, Boots, Mothercare and Babies R Us.
The Mini Milton Sterilising Tablets are priced at £2.99 per pack of 50.

The Solo Steriliser

This is a single bottle steriliser which is absolutely perfect for days out or overnight stays, as it means you don't need to lug the larger steriliser with you.

Again, this can be used as a cold water steriliser or can be popped in the microwave.

The solo steriliser is priced at just £10.99 and is available from and
