I was recently challenged by BooHoo.com to style up a 70's inspired outfit from their current collection, which had to include a suedette item...
As you're probably aware, suedette is the "in" thing for the A/W season and I'm a big fan of suedette shawls and waterfall style wraps myself - but with us heading off for a little end-of-Summer holiday I wanted something I could dress up a bit and wear on a late summers evening.
I absolutely love anything with a Chevron design so when I saw this monchrome chevron jumpsuit I just fell in love with it, it's very different from anything I'd usually attempt to wear but I thought it suited the 70's theme perfectly as the legs are very flared and I know my own 70's Child Mother wore a lot of jumpsuits and playsuits in the 70s!
I decided to pair it with this beautiful fringed suedette bag - I just love this as it goes so easily from day wear to evening wear, it's lovely & spacious (and works great in lieu of a traditional changing bag for the other baby mamas out there!), and I find it a perfect way to introduce suedette to an outfit without feeling like you're trying too hard - infact since it arrived I've been using this bag every single day!
I also added these chandelier earrings as I thought they glammed it up a touch for an evening look.
This outfit is very different from anything I'd usually attempt to wear but it's certainly fun, and something I would definitely wear on holiday!
Items worn are:
Katy monochrome wide leg jumpsuit - £18.00
Hat - My own
