Galt Pop Up Pals Review

We've been testing out quite a few toys in the run-up to Christmas, and of course the children are fans of most of them but every now and then a clear favourite crops up - and today I'm going to tell you all about one of them!

Pop-Up Pals from Galt's Ambi Toys range was sent to us a few months back, it was actually sent for Noah to use but he is a little below it's target age range of 18 months at the moment - instead Tyne took over testing duties! At 2 years old I was expecting him not to have much interest in it, but he adores it!

The idea of Pop-Up pals is to tap the buttons with the hammer and make the four smiley pals pop up! Kind of the reverse of the arcade games that Tyne loves to play where you wack the Minions back into their holes!

I remember having a very similar toy as a child and it always being a firm favourite, I think perhaps it's the fact that he gets to use a hammer but Tyne has honestly been smitten with it.

As with all Galt toys, the quality is fantastic - they really are toys which are built to last and survive the enthusiasm of even the most heavy-handed child - and the bright colours are so very appealing to little eyes too.

Recently Noah has started sitting up to play and so has also taken an interest in the toy, he loves bashing the hammer about and playing with it seems to be helping to improve his grip - he certainly knows what he needs to do and attempts to wack the hammer in the general direction of the buttons but he isn't quite meeting his target yet without a little help - I can see that trying is really helping his hand-eye co-ordination though which is fabulous!

Pop Up Pals has been a big hit with my children, and I think it would make a lovely addition to any toddlers Christmas stocking this year!

You can find Pop Up Pals available here, priced at £15.99
