With places like Spain seeing more and more interest again, prices have naturally risen. So instead of spending thousands to get your family away, why not try something different and holiday in the UK? You might need to pack your waterproof coats, but it doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun and create everlasting memories. We’ve listed 5 of the top UK holidaying destinations below. 
The Lake District 
The lake district is one of the most popular spots for UK holidays. The beautiful landscapes and rolling hills make it a perfect destination for active families who love being one with nature. Outside of miles of beautiful sandy beaches, Cornwall has a wide variety of attractions, including The Eden Project. Cornwall is also well known for its food, makes sure to try the freshly caught seafood and don’t forget the legendary pasties, cream teas & ice cream! 
Scottish Highlands 
The Scottish Highlands are renowned for their stunning landscape and beauty. With an abundance of wildlife parks, walking paths and outdoor adventure parks, there’s plenty to do for all the family. One of the biggest attractions in the summer is the loch, being able to swim in it whilst looking at the view of snow topped mountains truly is something spectacular! 
Dorset 
If you are a family with young children then Dorset is a great spot to holiday. Old fashioned seaside resorts, beautiful islands such as Purbeck and a wide open beach at Studland. If you are a history buff, you can hunt fossils on chesil beach. Dorset also have some great attractions for children, including aquariums, Monkey World and a flood of national trust and english heritage sites. 
Devon 

Devon is another great location for family holidays in the UK. Although the UK’s weather might not always be great, our locations are still spectacular. In Devon you’ll be spoilt for choice.
