NOTD, OOTD & EOTD - plus mini haul!

So, I thought I would share with you my look for today - I've been raiding my closet and my makeup box to try to revive some old favourites in an attempt to avoid going shopping and spending a ton of money!

I got myself a new job this week which is very exciting - I qualified in childcare & education about 10 years ago but have always worked in offices, but I have FINALLY taken my first steps into my chosen career!
I start on 11th June in my new role as Supervisor of a Breakfast, After School & Holiday Club at a local primary school and I'm very excited - but a new job means working a month in hand, so I'm going to be very poor for the next couple of months while I wait for my first pay cheque!

Which means - I need to be a little more thrifty! :)

So, what do you think of my first attempts to shop from my closet?!

Dress: New Look - approx 4 yrs old!
Belt: Primark - approx 3 yrs old!

  1. Oooo Union Jack nails ahhh! You know that I have a mild obsession with the UJ ;) Anyways, I think you did a great job utilizing your closet and the outfit looks great. I have been thinking about shopping my closet for an entire month's worth of looks...but the problem is...I live right behind Michigan Avenue in's temptation ahh!

    1. Ooh I can see how that would be majorly tempting! :) I love Michigan Ave!

  2. Nice post hun. I'm the same with having to 'shop my stash' so to speak in the wardrobe department as I'm a little tight on cash. I have to admit, I have been naughty with my nail purchases lately though lol x :-)

    1. hehe, well we've got to have our little treats haven't we!?

    2. Yes your right hun, especially with the pastounded month I've had! X :-)

  3. congrats on the new job, it sounds terrific! xxx

  4. You said you'd got the nails! Loving them :) Great look too, I'm really into my leggings at the moment with tunic tops. Like the red check look! Know what you mean about the month behind payday thing, been there a few times & it's always a pain in the bahookie! xox
