Summer Blog Challenge - Day 13

Time for today's Summer Blog Challenge from Going Green With The Grizls!

How do you see yourself by the end of the year

Well, I find this hard to answer as my plans never go quite...erm...according to plan?!

At the start of this year, me & Jon had decided that we were going to start trying for a baby! We were really excited about it, and so my plan had been that by the end of the year we'd hopefully be expecting and looking forward to being parents.

Unfortunately though, fate had other plans! My thyroid condition flared up massively in February, and I have been warned that I am NOT to conceive until it is under control as I am on a lot of medication at the moment than can be very damaging in pregnancy - I am awaiting an operation, and so will have to wait for that to be over and done with before we can try to have a baby - which doesn't look like it will be happening in time for this year!

I guess my plans for this year are just to try to live the life I want and be happier - I have a tendency to focus too much on the BIG picture and not enough on enjoying the here & now, and I want to change that. I also have a tendency to always complain about not liking my life and yet NEVER take steps to change things.

So far this year, I have started my own business and have FINALLY got out of the employment rut I was in and got a job I actually enjoy. We're living in a nice area now. My relationship is going great.

I guess by the end of the year, I would like things to be just as they are now - but possibly more financially stable thanks to more bookings coming in for my business, and looking forward to being better and being able to conceive within the next year or so! :)

How about you?! How do you see yourself by the end of the year?! Let me know!

xoxo Hayley

  3. Aww chick, sorry to hear about your problems with pregnancy, for the record I was told I wouldn't be able to have kids either, my little girl is nearly 3 and she is such a happy and healthy little thing! I've had some misses too, but I feel blessed for that wee annoyance in my life that I love so much! No-one knows, not even Doctors what fate has in store for us :) I have thyroid issues too, can totally understand where you're coming from. I started overactive, then it switched & has been under-active ever since xxx
