Apologies for the delay with my 10 Day Challenge posts....its taken a bit longer than 10 days I'm afraid!
So today, I'm to tell you about
FOUR BOOKS
I find it reeeeallly hard to limit it to four as I love reading and there are soooo many I could talk about, but I'll be good and force myself to stick to four...
1. Room by Emma Donoghue
This book was based on the Josef Fritzl case, and centers around a 5 year old boy who lives in "Room" with his mother who was kidnapped years before his birth. "Room" is the only world he has ever known, and his mother is the only person he has ever met.
The story is told entirely through his voice and eyes, and it is so incredibly touching. I literally could not put it down and read it in the space of a day!
2. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
This novel has become very famous because of the movie, but the movie is NOTHING compared to the book. It is NOT enough to just see the movie because it doesn't do the story justice - the book is so much more emotional, funnier in parts, and there is a lot that the movie misses out.
The style of writing is fantastic and really makes you feel like you're part of it, again I could not put it down.
3. The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella
I love Sophie Kinsella's chick lit novels, and I fell in love with the character of Becky Bloomwood as soon as I read the first installment in the Shopaholic series. I have read every one of the books in the series and I could never get tired of them, they are so funny and charming and so believable too. Great easy reading!
4.Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
This was the first book I ever loved - I read it when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and I became just obsessed with it and read it every night. I still love it now and read it once a year. I find it so charming and moving.
