A few weeks ago, I caught up with the modern world a little more and got myself a shiny new iphone!
Since then, I have been having endless fun downloading and trying out various apps....some have been an utter waste of time and space, and others have been a game changer!
One of the best I have come across is Bloom.Fm - a radio station app aimed at parents.
The app works so well and is so user friendly!
Basically you can stream music directly to your I-device, and can choose from a huge array of channels - there really is something for EVERY possible taste - classical, country, blues, alternative, decades, and soooo many more!
What I thought was really cool is that there is both a Top 100 Chart station where you can listen to all the hits of the moment - AND there's a Top 100 Child-Friendly Station - where you can listen to all the hits of the moment without any inappropriate language when the kiddies are around!! How fab?!
One station I personally use a LOT is the lullaby station! I know it sounds cheesy but the lullabies are SO cute, some of them bring a tear to my eye! I started to play them every night for Tyne as part of his bedtime routine and he LOVES it - you can see the concentration in his face as he listens to the music and he always drifts off to sleep after just one or two of the lullabies.
What is really brilliant about this app, is that you can pay to "borrow" tracks from them - so that you have them on your device and can listen to them even when you're not connected - but its all completely legal, so no more worries about the kids downloading illegal music!
It is SO easy to borrow the tracks - all you have to do is click the honeydrop icon - and thats it! Its in your collection!
I absolutely LOVE this app, I use it everyday and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
