Sparkles Summer Cocktail Guide!

One of my favourite things about summer time is, of course, garden parties!
I am always the hostess among my friends and I LOVE having get togethers in the garden, having a BBQ and of course - serving up some fabulous cocktails!!

So I thought that since its Friday, I'd share some of my favourite cocktail recipes with you today!

Raspberry Collins


A summery twist on the classic Tom Collins, this delicious cocktail is perfect for long hot summer days!

YOU WILL NEED:

2 Raspberries
.25 oz Simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water)
2 oz Beefeater Gin
1 oz Fresh lemon juice
1 oz Club soda
Garnish: Lemon wheel, mint sprig and raspberries
Glass: Highball

HOW TO MIX:

In a highball glass, muddle the raspberries and simple syrup.  Add the gin and lemon juice, and stir. Fill with ice and top with the club soda. Garnish with a lemon wheel, a mint sprig and two raspberries.


Bellini


A sparkling and refreshing timeless classic!
YOU WILL NEED:

1.5 oz Fresh white peach purée
Prosecco, chilled
Garnish: Peach slice
Glass: Champagne flute

HOW TO MIX:

Add the peach purée to a Champagne flute and fill with prosecco. Garnish with a peach slice.

Pineapple Vanilla Mojito


Tropical, tasty and unusual!


YOU WILL NEED:

2 oz Club soda
1 Organic pineapple wedge
4 Organic mint leaves
.5 oz Organic agave nectar
1 oz Papagayo Organic White Rum
.25 oz Navan Vanilla Liqueur 
Garnish: Pineapple wedge and mint leaf
Glass: Tumbler

HOW TO MIX:

Muddle the pineapple, mint and agave nectar in a tumbler, being careful not to pulverize the mint. Add the rum, Navan and a handful of ice. Top with club soda and stir. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a mint leaf.

Classic Cosmopolitan


If its good enough for Carrie Bradshaw, its good enough for me!

YOU WILL NEED:

1.5 oz Citrus vodka
1 oz Cointreau
.5 oz Fresh lime juice
1 or 2 dashes Cranberry juice
Garnish: Lime wedge
Glass: Martini

HOW TO MIX:

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Skinny Mojito


Half the calories and all the flavour!
YOU WILL NEED:

5 Mint leaves
3 Lime wedges
2 oz Starr African Rum
.25 oz Agave nectar
Club soda
Garnish: Lime wheel
Glass: Highball

HOW TO MIX:

In a shaker, muddle the mint and lime. Add the rum and agave nectar, and fill with ice. Shake, and pour (unstrained) into a highball glass. Top with club soda and garnish with a lime wheel

Tequila Mockingbird


YOU WILL NEED:

1 Jalapeño pepper slice
2 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
1.5 oz Watermelon-Basil Purée*
.75 oz Fresh lime juice
.75 oz Agave syrup (one part agave nectar, one part water)
Glass: Tumbler

HOW TO MIX:

In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slice. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake for 10 seconds and double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice
