My Top 3 Summer Holiday Must Haves For Kids

Here are my Top 3 Items for Summer Holidays With Children!
1) SUN PROTECTION

Literally the MOST important thing to have with you on any summer trip, no matter where you’re going.
This year our holidays are all in the UK but the weather can still get pretty hot at times, and its essential to always have decent sun protection with us at all times – especially with children & babies.
We’ve been using Eucerin Suncare range this year as we love the fact that there are such a wide range of products on offer meaning that you can really tailor your suncare choices to suit yourself and your families needs.
We use the Kids Sun Spray Factor 50+ which is so much nicer than standard lotions as its lighter to apply, and is water resistant too which is obviously ideal for use on holidays.
We also love the Extra Light Lotion which gives a high level of sun protection but soaks in quickly to the skin so leaves none of the greasy residue that other lotions do – I use the Factor 50 as my very pale skin burns so easily, but Jon is fine with the SPF 30.
Eucerin’s range of suncare includes products especially for those who suffer with eczema or dry skin, allergy prone skin and acne-prone or oily skin.
I also always make sure to have a bottle of Eucerin After Sun Lotion with me on holiday!

2) Safe Swimwear

Whenever we travel, we always like to make the post of the pool facilities as Tyne just loves being in the water and I have to admit I’m a big fan myself – and of course safety and comfort while swimming is a big concern.
We always use Konfidence products as their range is vast and covers everything you could possibly need, everything is of such high quality and I can rest assured that my children are as protected as can be.
The Konfidence float suits are perfect for children just getting to grips with swimming as they contain 8 removable floats for buoyancy, and the lycra also had SPF 50+ protection.

Tyne was recently sent the Octonauts Konfidence jacket to try out which also uses the 8 float system, and offers sun protection – the jacket is bright yellow which gives maximum visibility in the pool (I find this to give me such peace of mind, particularly if Tyne is in the pool with his Daddy and I’m watching from the sidelines with Noah…it can be hard to keep an eye on your child if the pool is crowded but this bright yellow jacket makes him so easy to spot!). The jacket is so easily removable, with just a simple zipper and you can tailor the buoyancy to your childs need as each of the 8 floats is removable.
The Octonauts jacket is available HERE for £21.99 and do check out the rest of the range at www,Konfidence.co.uk
3) Lots Of Luggage Space!

Travelling children makes it pretty impossible to travel light, and so I need to have as much luggage as I can fit into the car!
We were recently sent this very cute Constellation Monaco Flight Bag (£19.99) from Sainsburys luggage range and it’s been great for the short journeys we’ve recently been taking.
Although we have yet to fly with the kids I can tell that this would be just ideal as a carry on bag, and it is the perfect size for an overnight bag too.
Alternatively I have been using it as a beach bag as it holds two large beach towels, as well as a change of clothes for the children, sunglasses and juice cups etc with no trouble at all and is wipe clean so need to worry about the sand!
