great video & tips, esp the knickers!!! :) The only other thing i have packed in my hosp bag are some gluc tablets. I couldn't keep anything down & they did give me a bit of energy until i could.

ReplyDeleteI had a c section with both of mine, second one was an emergency and an awful experience. I would recommend packing LOTS of food! I was soooooo hungry after going nearly 18 hours without food!

ReplyDeleteI put a few Lucozades in the freezer so I could take out on the way to hospital so I'd have a few cold drinks during labour.
ReplyDeleteBaby wipes because it might be difficult to get mobile to wash if you hve to have a c-section. I had an emergency c-section and it was 48 hours before I could get up and wash or shower.

ReplyDeleteI would also pack ipod & headphones, magazines, playing cards because there's a lot of waiting around. My wife even packed scrabble and quite deliberately decided to have her contractions just when I was going to put down my first ever 7 letter word. Never got a 7 letter word since ;o)

ReplyDeleteI always took a big bottle of Evian Water and a big bottle of cold Pepsi Max as I found that I was just so thirsty in the hospital. I don't know if it was the air con?
I also liked taking some lip balm as I needed it as the air con was very drying on my lips.
The thing I forgot last time was nursing bras. I couldn't believe that I left them out of my case!
I can't think of anything else! I packed a hand held fan which was amazing as I was so hot.
