Mill Race Garden Center: Review

We were recently given the opportunity to review the online service of the Mill Race Garden Centre.

Mill Race is one of the largest garden centres in Colchester. The centre itself being situated in Colne Valley between Colchester and Halstead and features a range of attractions for all the family including a Coffee shop and an aquatics and pet centre.

They also pride themselves on being one of the very best online garden centres in the UK with a huge range of product choice and well-known brands including Weber, Lemax and Hozelock to name but a few. As well as products for gardening, the online store features Home and Gifts, Outdoor Living, Wild Bird Care, Seasonal and Aquatic & pets sections.

The website itself is very easy to navigate with straightforward ordering as well as having the same Price Match promise as the actual garden centre. After browsing the extensive website we chose to order a Lemax Village Skating Pond with Sound.  Adding model village items each year for Christmas has started to become a bit of a tradition in our house and Tyne in particular loves to see the little figurines and buildings in this mini Winter Wonderland.

The Skating Pond arrived and we were really impressed with the speed of delivery as well as the care shown in packaging the Pond itself. Sure enough to our and Tyne’s delight, the charming hand painted figures skated around the pond accompanied by voices and laughter. This is such a lovely Winter Village scene we will be adding to the collection for Christmas 2016!

In addition to a huge selection of products, the Mill Race Garden Centre website offers free UK mainland deliveries on orders over £50, and free returns with a 90 day money back guarantee. The website also incorporates a blog filled with seasonal ideas and expert tips for looking after and getting the most from your garden.

Be sure to check out the huge range for yourself at
