My Dream Bedroom For A Girl

Girls Room

On this blog, you'll find a lot of focus on traditional "Boys" things - boys clothes, boys bedroom ideas, etc - as a mother of 3 boys this is naturally something my focus is usually on!

But of course some of the people who read this blog will be mums to girls and so every now and then I like to share some of my favourite looks and ideas for Girls things too - today I'm sharing my dream Little Girls bedroom ideas!

If Sailor had been a girl, his name would have been Autumn - I just love any reference to all things floral and pretty when it comes to little girls so I would absolutely go for a pale pink and white decor theme for a girls room, with some soft white and pink ditsy flower print accessories.

Of course if she decided she preferred darker colours that'd be fine, but while she was little and the decisions were down to me I would just have to indulge my love of pink - I had a VERY pink bedroom myself by my own choice when I was a teenager, I just can't get enough of the colour!

A little bean bag chair in a reading corner would be perfect in a childs room, and I'd love a fairytale style white canopy hung above it to make the reading area secluded and peaceful.

Chunky white wooden furniture would be my ideal choice, along with a personalised toy box and some stencilling on the walls.

As for the bed itself, I just ADORE this stunning personalised children's bed from Ollie and Leila - the idea of a personalised bed is so unusual and something I just love, and I think this one would look just amazing in a delicate fairytale themed bedroom.

Some finishing touches of delicate pink bunting, name art on the walls and some framed fairytale pictures would finish it off perfectly...along with a little fairy door for a magical element I think!

How did you decorate your childrens bedrooms? As always, I'd love to hear from you!
