A couple of weeks ago, we were sent a beautiful baby gift for Sailor from the lovely folk at My 1st Years.
My 1st Years have been amongst my favourite baby and childrens brands ever since Tyne was born 3 years ago - with a child bearing an unusual name I quickly discovered them on my searches for personalised baby items, once I had ordered and witnessed the high quality of their products and their beautiful gift boxed presentation I was hooked!
I order from them at least a few times a year for my own children (the personalised hi -tops are among my Must-Haves!), and whenever I need a new baby gift or Christmas/birthday gift for a little one they are the first website I head to and I always find something beautiful to buy! They have such a gorgeous range of unusual, high quality gifts for such a reasonable price.
Last Christmas I bought a beautiful personalised reindeer antler hooded dressing gown for my best friends baby son, and a lovely personalised painting apron complete with paints for a kiddies secret santa swap I was taking part in - they cost me under £15 each which I thought was fantastic for a personalised, gift boxed present!
I've had a great relationship working with My 1st Years through this blog as they were my sponsors when I attended the Britmums conference a few years ago, and so when their lovely marketing lady asked if she could send a new baby gift for Sailor I was very touched...I wasn't asked to write this review but I love the gift so much that I just had to share it!
I noticed a few nights before my baby was born that My 1st Years were advertising their new range and clicked on to take a look...at the time I didn't know if baby was a boy or girl so when I saw that the new range was nautical themed I squealed with glee at the prospect of being able to purchase lots of nautical items for my little "Sailor" if he should happen to be a boy!
(The girls range was floral themed, and if baby had been a girl would have been Autumn-Rose...so it would have worked well either way!) And once he arrived I have to admit, one of the first things I thought was "YAY! I can order those personalised nautical things with his name on!"

When my gift arrived, I excitedly tore into the box and found the most beautiful nautical blanket bearing Sailor's name - just perfect!
The blanket is 100% cotton and so soft and snuggly, with navy and white stripes on one side and a super cute sailing boat pattern on the other. There is even a hooded corner so perfect for wrapping him up warm on these blustery days!
There is an anchor motif stitched just below the babies name, which is just adorable!
My 1st Years item come with free personalisation up to 9 characters and at just £25 I think this would make the perfect new baby gift or even a lovely Easter gift for a baby too little for chocolate!
