It's often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that's a sentiment that my children certainly agree with!
Noah in particular is always excited for the first meal of the day, and toddles himself into the kitchen first thing to point at the cupboards and shout "Aahhh!" which translates into "I'd like some breakfast now, please".
Tyne is a little more difficult to coax into eating in the morning - he seems to take after his Mummy in that I have never been too keen on eating first thing - but lately we've been trying Ready Brek and thankfully it's been quite a hit.
Tyne is really into imaginative role playing games at them moment and he just loves to act out stories - so each morning we have a little game of Goldilocks & The Three Bears - I make us all a bowl of Ready Brek (because hello? it's delicious regardless of your age!) and he tries a little out of Daddy's bowl declaring it "Too hot!", a little out of my bowl declaring it "Too cold!" and then tries his own bowl which he of course declares "Just right!" before polishing the lot off.
Ready Brek have actually just introduced the Ready Bear to their packaging which is a nice little link to the story for us - they sent us our own cuddly personalised Ready Bear for Tyne which he just loves.
The Ready Bear suggests that trying Ready Brek with some added strawberries, banana or honey can make a nice change and that's certainly something we'll be trying in the future.
Ready Brek is made only from fine milled wholegrain oats and flour, vitamins and minerals with no added salt or sugar and delivers all the benefits of adult porridge but without the lumps that fussy little eaters aren't so keen on - it's a great source of calcium for bones & teeth, Vitamin D, protein and oat fibre for aiding digestion - and unlike porridge, it takes just 90 seconds to make the perfect bowl of Ready Brek in the microwave.
Ready Brek is available in Original and Chocolate flavour, and is available at all major supermarkets priced at £1.99.
