With Hallowe'en fast approaching, I thought I'd share with you some of our favourite books to read in the run up to it!
Hallowe'en was a huge event in our house when I was growing up - every year we would have a big party for all of the kids in the family, we'd all go trick or treating together, and lots of fun would be had - and it's no different now!
This year, it's my turn to throw the Hallowe'en party for my children and their cousins and I am so looking forward to it - I have lots of decoration and food ideas, and so many spooky activities planned!
On Hallowe'en morning I always give the boys a Halloween basket with some fun themed things to do in - this year their baskets contain Ghostbusters chocolate coins, a Halloween lollipop each, a Halloween sticker book, a creepy DVD to watch (Monster House and Coraline!), and ... their favourites...some new Halloween books!
Our Halloween reading collection is growing nicely, and from the start of October we get the books out on the shelves in their bedroom and start reading them.
