Hi, I’m Hayley – the writer behind Sparkles & Stretchmarks. I’m mum to 3 children – Tyne (9), Noa (7) and Sailor (6) and together with my partner Jon, we live in a seaside town in Devon, South West England.
I started this blog in 2013, to keep myself busy during my first pregnancy – little did I know that it would become the huge success it has! Today Sparkles & Stretchmarks is a multi-award winning UK Lifestyle & Family blog which has been ranked as the number 1 family blog in the country.
For over nine years now I have been sharing my family’s journey as we’ve grown from couple to family of five, I write about many topics including family travel, home education, raising a trans child, domestic abuse survival and recovery, mental health, plus size fashion and body positivity.
I have built up a large, loyal and very engaged following of readers not only through my blog, but through my various social media platforms too – these days it can be difficult to determine a bloggers influence simply by looking at their follower numbers alone as, let’s face it, followers and engagement levels can so easily be bought or manipulated! So I am really proud to be able to demonstrate the trust that our followers have in us with visibly high engagement and click through rates across our social media platforms – with Instagram a particular strong point.

Over the years I have worked with many high profile brands on advertising campaigns – including Heinz, Next, Marks & Spencer, Paramount and Haribo to name just a few. I also produce freelance content for various websites, and have contributed columns for print magazines such as Essentials as well as being regularly featured as a guest on BBC Radio Devon. I have also appeared on This Morning and The Davina McCall Show.
Why Should You Work With Us?
We are dedicated to providing a friendly and efficient service to the brands that we commit to working with whilst also remaining true to ourselves and ensuring that we are producing content that is real and relatable for our audience.
I believe that we stand out in this field because we are very much a “normal family” (whatever that might be!) – over the years I have really taken the time to connect with my readers through personal and soul baring posts, and as a result I feel that I have created a relationship of trust with them. I’m regularly complimented on my brand work by my readers and recieve regular feedback demonstrating that they trust our feedback and enjoy seeing products and experiences used and enjoyed by a “real” and normal family. I don’t promote just any product, I have a firm ethos and am selective with the brands I choose to promote – ensuring that they align with my values, as well as appealing to my audience.
