When He Grows Up....

When he grows up, I hope he'll be kind....

I hope he'll be the kind of person who stops to hold a door for someone, and who smiles at strangers and says hello.

I hope that he'll always take the time to listen to people's stories, and to offer a shoulder to someone who needs it.

When he grows up, I hope he'll be honest...

I hope he'll always be open and go after what he wants, and I hope he is always truthful with himself.

When he grows up, I hope he'll have fun....

I hope he'll take the time to take in the scenery, and live in the moment, and laugh and dance and really enjoy his life.

When he grows up, I hope he'll follow his heart....

I hope he'll do whatever makes him happy, be whoever he wants to be and not be afraid.

When he grows up, I hope he'll be brave...

I hope he'll always stand up for himself and what he believes in.

When he grows up, I hope he'll be happy....

I hope he never loses that bright smile, and his enthusiasm for each new day....

When he grows up, I hope he'll be all of these things....

But he'll still be my baby boy.

  6. When he grows up, he'll be what you teach him to be. Instil in him good manners, bravery, appreciation, honesty and allow him to follow his heart and he'll be all you want him to be. But yes, he will always be your baby boy xx

  23. Lovely post, these are all the things I hope for my little girl, that she won't suffer the worries that I did, but in reality I guess we all do at times and it's ok to not be that wonderful every single day. I'd like my little one to have as high self esteem as possible and it seems likely that Tyne will as it's clear you are devoted to him :)

  25. Lovely post and photos. We all have these hopes for our children and we also hope that the world will treat them kindly in return. Sometimes we have no control over things that hurt our children but with a Mum like you he will be well equipped to deal with whatever comes and he will know he has your love always and your help when he needs it.
