A Watch For All Occasions

Whenever I discover a company that I'm unfamiliar with I always like to find out a little about their history, and how they came to be.

When I was recently given the chance to try out a Daniel Wellington watch I did the same thing, and the story behind the company really struck a chord with me.

"The story behind Daniel Wellington begins with a trip half way around the globe where Filip Tysander, the founder of Daniel Wellington, met an intriguing gentleman from the British Isles. The man had the inspiring ability to be genteel but still relaxed and unpretentious. He had an impeccable style and loved to wear his watches on old weathered NATO straps. His name? Well, Daniel Wellington, of course.
A strong friendship emerged between the two, and our founder was inspired not only by the man's many great life stories but also by his class and timeless style of fashion."

I have always wanted to find a watch suitable for me but have always been drawn to the glitzy style which almost always feature full metal straps, unfortunately my wrists react to wearing this style of watch and so this has meant that I've never really been able to wear one regularly.

I was pleased to find a watch using a nylon material strap as this is something I can wear without irritation - but unlike many watches in this style, the watches in the Daniel Wellington womens collection are still effortlessly feminine and preppy.

The one I chose was the Classy Winchester - what drew me to this was its slim and uncomplicated appearance, along with the thin line of bright pink through the navy strap which I felt added the necessary femininity, and of course the stunning swarovski crystals on the time piece itself.

The watch is slim enough to be wearable for any occasion, it is light weight and I love the classy but beautiful packaging it comes in - making it the perfect gifting choice for any loved one.

The watch is available with either rose gold or silver time piece, both of which are beautiful but the rose gold had the edge for me as I thought it was set off beautifully by the colours in the strap.

The Classy Winchester is available from Daniel Wellington for just £99.
