Does the Family Need An E-Visa To Travel To Denmark?
When you travel to Denmark from UK, you currently do not have to hold an e-visa. The main mandate is that you must have a passport that is valid for at least another 3 months after the date you plan to leave Denmark. For each family member accompanying you on this trip, be sure that all your passports fit this requirement.
There will be an official date in 2025 announced for when UK residents traveling to Denmark will have to start applying for an e-visa before entering the country. When this goes into effect, UK residents can enter Denmark as many times as they choose for up to 3 years once after they are approved for the e-visa or until their passport is no longer valid. The main caveat is that you can stay for up to 90 consecutive days for every 180 days throughout those 3 years.
When Is the Best Time To Visit Denmark With Family?
Book your trip to Denmark sometime between May and September, which is the country’s summer, to increase the chances of enjoying more pleasant, warm weather with family members. Plus, the days are longer as the sun is out more throughout the summer.

The North Sea Oceanarium in Aalborg

There are two opportunities to watch seals get fed in the oceanarium or a general feeding to various fish species in the facility once a day.
When you get hungry, relax and take a break at the cafe with seating that gives you a great view of the Limfjord seal habitat or the Skagerrak and Hirtshals Harbour. Visit the aquarium between June to August to experience the outdoor bistro called Seafood.
Thy National Park gets its shape from the North Sea and is known as the most ancient of the national parks in the country. Go biking through the 200 km of trails in the fall or lounge near the park’s sandy beaches in the summer. Choose to hike in the spring or explore the terrain on a horseback ride. As long as you get started early enough in the day, you can easily enjoy all the sights that Thy National Park has to offer in a one-day trip.
In the same national park trip, you can get a good view of the seals lounging at the beach and the unique red deer, which dwell throughout the forests. Go fishing with local village people in Stenbjerg or at one or more of the 200 lakes located throughout the national park.
