The first two are pretty much common sense, for example, a material like hemp or canvas for a tote or crossbody while enjoying the outdoor life, a business-like leather purse for corporate dealings, and an exquisitely bejewelled (or at least sequinned) clutch for that fancy night out!
Choosing the right colours might require a bit of visual science, you want them to compliment and never clash! For simplicity’s sake, we will leave patterns up to your imagination and good taste! So basically, lighter colours like tan, light brown, bright yellow, lavender, and light blue or green feel more casual, while darker colours like black, midnight blue, forest green, grey, dark brown, gold, and deep red or purple feel more formal.
